Our farmers

Our farmers are our heroes. The Czech Republic has some amazing produce to offer and we feel really lucky to be able to present the best of it to you. We go out of our way to secure all of our protein locally as we believe local is best. Thanks to the facilities on Sasov farm and the help of Josef Sklenář we can now butcher our cows and pigs in their bio abattoir, on the farm where they care for these amazing animals. We have been lucky to have met and have the privilege to work with some amazing professionals who, with great skills of animal husbandry, make us all feel proud of our highest quality meat. We dry hang beef and pork in specially ariated cold cells in Sasov. But there are also others who we cherish, Mr. Denk,for example, from a small village near Klatovy. He supplies us with our Romanov lamb, which is simply delicious. The lamb have one of the most amazing views of Šumava peaks from their castle garden pasture. Happy creatures.....

Josef Sklenář is indeed our farmer hero. He founded his Sasov farm 20 years ago and since then continues his quest for happy animals and bio farming. Sasov is a small wonderland. Josef was the first one to manage to bring pigs out of the horrible conditions of closed concrete pens to fields. His pigs have the life of no other pigs in the Czech Republic. Paul has joined Josef in his effort to reintroduce the very rare Czech breed of pork to our lands and on our tables - and in order to do so has secured the entire production.
